With years of classical voice and opera training, combined with a versatile musical sensibility and fresh approach to character interpretation, Katherine Hamilton is the full spectrum in a single voice.

Katherine Hamilton’s rich and creamy Soprano always leaves audiences wanting more. Whether her voice is soaring through the rafters, giving life to one of opera’s great heroines, or wittily squeaking and squawking in a comedic character piece at the theatre, Ms. Hamilton never disappoints. A long-time student of Susan Ormont (voice professor at Boston University), Ms. Hamilton has been cultivating her vocal expertise since a young age.

Early in her performance career, after award-winning appearances in regional productions, she was recruited for The Cleveland Orchestra Youth Chorus under Betsy Burleigh, and appeared in the Cleveland Opera OnTour production of “The Barber of Seville.”

Before graduating cum laude in opera performance at Boston University’s College of Fine Arts, Ms. Hamilton sang with the prestigious Symphonic Chorus under Ann Howard Jones, protégé of the late Robert Shaw. Since conservatory, she has continued to study voice while working with artists from around the world at IMG Artists, and recently branching out on her own. Clients have included Time for Three, the Eroica Trio, LeAnn Rimes, and renowned photographer, J Henry Fair. She has also produced international tours and festivals for IMG, including the Tuscan Sun Festival in Cortona, Italy; Festival del Sole in Napa Valley, California; and the Moscow Sretensky Monastery Choir Tour under the sponsorship of Premier Vladimir Putin, honing her musical knowledge and skills along the way.

In 2007, after developing a friendship with opera legend, Frederica von Stade, Ms. Hamilton had the great opportunity to sing for Ms. von Stade. Subsequently, Ms. Hamilton was invited to sing with Ms. von Stade in concert. Ms. von Stade now plays an important role in mentoring Ms. Hamilton, as she further lends her talent to this exciting world of professional singing, opera and theatre performance.
